The new standard sets the enforcement date as June 22, 2022. Starting from the mandatory date, manufacturers, importers, wholesalers and retailers of button/coin batteries and battery-containing products entering the Australia market must ensure that the relevant products meet the standard requirements. Which products and batteries are within the standard range?
　　
Consumer products containing button/coin batteries:
　　
The standard includes test requirements for the safety and stability of the battery compartment to ensure that children can be prevented from accidentally contacting the button/coin battery during normal use or misuse of the battery compartment. At the same time, for the outer packaging of the product, the instructions stipulate detailed safety warnings and warning sign requirements to remind consumers that the product contains button/coin-shaped batteries that may cause harm to children.

For batteries with a diameter greater than 16mm, tests in the standard need to be passed to ensure that they are child-resistant packaging. At the same time, for battery packaging, this standard also stipulates the required safety warnings and warning marking requirements.
