The National Standardization Administration of the State Administration for Market Regulation and Administration issued GB 31241-2022 “Safety Technical Specifications for Lithium Ion Batteries and Battery Packs for Portable Electronic Products” on December 29, 2022, replacing GB 31241-2014. The mandatory implementation date is January 2024. On January 1, at the same time, GB 31241-2014 will be invalid.
