In accordance with ISO/IEC17065, the licensing authority TCB shall perform appropriate post-market surveillance activities. TCB will conduct random market inspections under the guidance of the FCC. The random inspection rate is at least 5% of the total cases for the year, and 1% of cases with SAR (if applicable). The cycle is annual, and the TCB must submit an annual report on its post-market surveillance activities for the calendar year to the FCC by January 31 of the following year.

The random inspection is only for those parts that have obtained certificates listed in the FCCID and FCC official website, while the SDOC’s are not within the scope of this random inspection. IC random inspections must be conducted in ISED accredited laboratories in Canada’s MRA partner economies, and the FCC does not require this.

TCB conducts random random inspections in accordance with the sampling plan. For the FCCID drawn, TCB will send an email to the contact window of the corresponding applicant and inform the applicant how to handle it. Applicants need to read the sampling email in detail and follow the instructions. The steps are as follows:

(1)Reply to TCB emails within the specified time;

(2)Determine the sampling laboratory, TCB laboratory or TCB designated laboratory;

(3)Contact the corresponding laboratory;

(4)Send samples;

(5)The laboratory conducts tests and issues reports in accordance with TCB’s testplan;

(6)Submit information to TCB;

(7)TCB review, meet the requirements, and end the random inspection.

TCB will also clearly explain the information that needs to be submitted in the random inspection email, including the following information:

(1)Scanned file/photo of the final shipment paper file manual;

(2)Label close-up photo on the final shipment prototype;

(3)The test report of the test conducted according to the testplan (some TCBs require that the original test data be submitted at the same time);

(4)Erection drawing (test photo);

(5)Product photo (inside, outside).

If you do not cooperate with the random inspection, the TCB will report it to the FCC officials, and the FCC will revoke the ID. It is equivalent to a product with a record of violations, so the next random inspection will have a higher probability of being inspected. Refer to KDB610077 for sampling inspection requirements.
