Starting from October 1, 2014, goods destined for Ghana must undergo compliance certification. This was initiated by the Ghana Standards Agency (GSA). Products that need to undergo compliance certification include:

– Toys and sports products

– Electronic and electrical products

– Cars (including new and used cars)

– Chemical products

– Mechanical materials and gas appliances

– Paper and stationery

– Furniture (wood and metal items)

– Safety equipment (personal protective equipment)

– Food

– Building materials

– Selected medical equipment and drugs

– Second-hand products

– Fuel and petroleum products

– Textiles and footwear
