On August 1, 2023, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan issued the “Notice on the Interpretation of Ministerial Order on Electrical Equipment Technical Standards (20130605 Commerce Bureau No. 3)”, which updates some home appliance standards in Schedule 12. The new standard will be implemented from August 1, 2023. However, J60335-2-29 (2019),J60335-2-32 (H30), J60335-2-40 (H20),J60335 -2-60 (H30), and J60335-2-96 (2019) will still be used before July 31, 2026.
