On August 25, 2023, Taiwan’s Ministry of Digital Development announced the Wi-Fi 6G frequency band, as follows:

1. The frequency band range 5945-6425(MHz) is used.

2. There are two major device categories: indoor low power (LPI) maximum radiated average power (EIRP) of 23dBm and outdoor ultra-low power (VLP) EIRP of 14dBm. Equipment using this frequency band must have interference avoidance mechanisms such as Listen Before-Talk (LBT).

3. NCC inspection regulations will develop in accordance with EU regulations.

Notes: Remote controlled drones are not allowed to use the 5945-6425MHz frequency band;
