The purpose of this technical regulation is to determine the basic requirements for electromagnetic compatibility of equipment and the conformity assessment procedures that suppliers must follow to ensure that these products comply with the basic requirements aimed at protecting the environment and user health and safety, and to promote market investigation procedures. In order to meet the requirements of this Regulation, suppliers must meet the following requirements: the electromagnetic interference generated by equipment must not exceed the level required to affect the operation of radio, telecommunications equipment or other equipment. Equipment should be equipped with equipment that protects against the expected risks of electromagnetic interference during use, so that it can operate normally when used for its intended use without unacceptable risks,This regulation shall be used 180 days from the date of promulgation and shall be mandatory 365 days after promulgation.

scope of application
This regulation includes: equipment defined in the standards (84 in total) in Annex 1, including multiple product categories. See Annex 1 of the regulation for details;
The scope of this regulation does not include:
– Radio and long-distance telephone equipment (R TTE)
– Aviation and aviation products and components
– Communication equipment used by amateurs
– medical devices
– Equipment with the following physical characteristics
a. Equipment that is unable to produce or radiate electromagnetic radiation beyond what is acceptable for radio equipment;
b. Telecommunications and other equipment, when operated as intended, is not affected by other electromagnetic interference generated during normal use.
– Electronic boards specially designed for experts are used directly for research and research
Equipment description materials must meet the following requirements:
(1) Saudi standard requirements and explanatory data requirements described in Annex (1);
(2) The writing should be mainly Arabic, and it can also be written in languages other than Arabic. Arabic should be considered;
(3) The images and words used do not violate Saudi Arabia’s public order, public morality and Islamic values;
(4) Place the product in a conspicuous place and clearly display the following information:
a. Name and supplier information b. Brand c. Place of origin d. Warnings and safe disposal after use e. Use warnings
Procedure for supplier declarations of conformity:
(1) Suppliers responsible for placing and displaying regulated equipment on the market must issue a supplier declaration in the format listed in the declaration of compliance consistent with the format of the internal control procedures listed for production;
(2) Attach the technical documents contained in the annex to the production internal control procedures together with the product;
(3) Suppliers must maintain procedures that comply with the regulations to ensure compliance with the requirements of this technical regulation;
(4) Equipment with Saudi quality labels meets this technical requirement.
