Battery CCC certification scope

Scope of application:
Lithium-ion batteries for portable electronic products such as mobile phones, notebooks, tablets, Bluetooth speakers, and Bluetooth headphones.
Inapplicable scope:
E-cigarette batteries, lithium metal batteries, dry batteries, nickel batteries.

important time points

1. Before December 31, 2023, companies can voluntarily choose to implement certification according to the new version of the standard or the old version of the standard.
2. Starting from January 1, 2024, CQC will adopt the new version of the standard to implement certification and issue the new version of the standard certification certificate, and will no longer issue the old version of the standard certification certificate.
3. After lithium-ion batteries and batteries for portable electronic equipment are included in the CCC scope, CQC will no longer issue corresponding CQC voluntary certification certificates.
4. The conversion of all old standard certification certificates should be completed by December 31, 2024 at the latest; if the conversion of certification certificates has not been completed on March 31, 2025, CQC will revoke the old standard certification certificate.
5. For certified products that have been shipped, put on the market and are no longer produced before December 31, 2023, no certificate conversion is required.

Option 1: Convert CQC to CCC
When the 2014 version of CQC is converted to CCC, a difference test is needed (only for the batteries produced and sold), and 15 batteries and 18 battery packs are sent (if the batteries in the battery pack report are purchased, the battery CCC certificate must be provided);
(Cycle: 2 to 3 weeks).
The 2022 version of CQC is converted to CCC, and no testing is required (battery packs based on CCC certification or battery packs are self-produced and sold);
(Cycle: 1 to 2 weeks).
Option 2: New application for CCC
Send 24 batteries and 35 battery packs;
(Cycle: 3 to 4 weeks).

Example battery pack label
When the surface area is less than 10 cm2, the manufacturer, production date, and product name can be identified with a code. The meaning of the code is explained on the specification, and the warning is identified on the smallest package of the battery.

Example battery label
When the surface area is ≥ 4cm2, the manufacturer and production date can be identified with a code. The meaning of the code will be explained in the specification. The product name and charging limit voltage may not be identified, but they must be marked in the specification.

New application CCC

Certificate registration fee: 1300 yuan Factory inspection fee: 6000 yuan.
Change application CCC
Single cell, battery pack (battery cells are certified (purchased or self-produced)) CQC to CCC: reporting fee 1000 yuan + registration fee 1300 yuan;
Battery pack (batteries are not certified (CCC certification is required for purchased batteries, and self-produced batteries can be directly renewed)) from CQC to CCC: reporting fee 1000 yuan + registration fee 1300 yuan.
Change application (Standard Revision CCC)
Single cell CCC version change: reporting fee shall not exceed 3700 yuan + registration fee of 1300 yuan;
Battery pack CCC version change: The reporting fee shall not exceed 10800 yuan (a single cell shall not exceed 7800 yuan)+ the registration fee shall be 1300 yuan.
